A Dog's Day

Bryce and Tini came today to drop off  'The Queen', Seau. You can read more about her on tomorrows blog.
They were going to take the dogs to this really, really, nice dog park to play and swim.  You have to present your dogs paperwork...shots and such and then they have to take a temperament test.  Toby and Parker have been there before so they were already in the system.
Parker doesn't like the water...not so much.  Chest deep is about all she will go.

Toby on the other hand is a water dog.  She LOVES it!  Throw a ball and she will swim to the ends of the earth to get it and bring it back to you.

And I have a feeling she does not realize that she isn't really a big dog.  But just watch her, she can do just what the big dogs do.

Everybody had her doing tricks every time you turned around.  The only thing she would not do was go thru the tunnel.  I wouldn't wither...it stunk and looked a little nasty,  not to mention feeling and sounding a little funny on her feet.

She is like the Energizer Bunny....

She should be on one of those dog shows where the compete for trophies.  I think she would win for sure...hands down.

Parker is very observant of her surroundings.
She really doesn't want to play in the water.  I love that sad face.

All I want to do it stand in water this deep to keep cool and look good.  I am so good looking...aren't I?

I didn't know there was a water park for little boys there too.  Michael entertained himself for the longest time..kung fu...water chop...ninja stuff

He tried and tried to get Toby to run thru the water and finally she did.

Bryce threw the ball until I think he threw his arm out.

Toby's new nickname,,,,sharkfin

For $5 you can wash, condition, deodorize, flea and tick repellent and rinse your dog.  There is also a vacuum if you need one.

And Bryce gave us an extra treat...a trip to the most famous ice cream corner in Newtown.  Literally in the summer, in the evenings, you might stand 30 minutes waiting to order an ice ream.  Today we walked right up to the window.  Michael was excited they had swirl.  Tini, the dogs and I got orange sherbet and Bryce had some strawberry sherbet.

Michael was watching to make sure that Tini wouldn't use that spoon after feeding the dogs their bite of ice cream.

Thinking about taking Ella to the wagOmart after dinner for a little bath.
