Come Torment (Hell) or High Water

Nothing can keep us from getting to WV...Home Sweet Home. This weekend was special for a number of reasons...we have a lot of birthdays to celebrate (more on that a little later in the blog)...Tyler is home for a two week R&R from Kuwait and the sun is out!

We made it all the way to South Portsmouth, right after our short cut on Portsmouth Road, until we saw any road closures.

Bryce, Dad took this one for you.  All that was left of the Race Track is the last row of seats in the grandstands.  This is as high as I have ever seen the water.  Mark swears he has seen it higher.  But the flood gates were still open all the way down the river.

I am almost sure that Tristan is trying to con her out of some food.  This one loves to eat!

Speaking of cooking...Lisa cook our entire dinner....we took some of Ruby's sweet and sour beans...Lisa is a Jack-Of-All-Trades.  T-Bird looks on, licking his chops.

Looks like Terry is on baby duty with Tristan.  Oh darn!

Mark, Papaw, and I always take a garden walk around the yard.  He loves his flowers.

We celebrated three birthday's...Papaw turned 87 but doesn't look a day of 65!

That's a lot of hot air there!

Mamaw and Papaw gave Tyler a frame with the two best GI Joe's!

Looks like Sweet Pap is on duty now.

This is one happy little boy.

It was a quick fun day...glad we are only a little over 2 hours away.
