Pinewood Derby...Phase 8...Race Day

Up early getting things ready for RACE DAY. Scout uniform ready with new patches...check. Trip to Kroger for a backpack full of healthy snacks...check. Mark asked to get off to go to the race...check.  Camera ready with a full battery...check.

Our backyard neighbor, Victor, was part of the color guard.

Getting ready for the Bears to race....and hoping, praying to come in second.  Don't ask me, I have no idea.

I think we are in lane three and Wyatt is in lane six.

A little disappointed he didn't come in second but he did get a really nice metal.  Now to cheer on Wyatt.

I don't know who came up with the Turtle Race but what a great idea for all those little ones that are heart broken because they came in last.

You can't see 'Lightening Volt' because he never crossed the finish line.

I found out from Mark that last year Wyatt didn't finish a single race. This year he all he wanted to do was make it across the finish line.
