Morning Rounds
It is not looking too good for the trip home to see Tyler and to cheer Aunt Kate at the finish line of the Huntington Marathon (she is doing her first half marathon)...this is how the patient presents this morning.
Even with a breakfast of a nice healthy Snickers Blizzard made with chocolate ice cream.
But that frown was soon turned upside down when he found out that he had won the $25.00 prize for the Halloween Art Contest! Good thing he has a savings account! He was so surprised and so happy. These ladies are the best! This year before Halloween they gave everyone in the neighborhood a pumpkin on their mailboxes. And there was a little something for the kids...a bag to collect candy in and a contest..."What Fall Means To You". We saved out official entry form but somehow it disappeared from the fridge about a week before Halloween. Michael was a little concerned when he couldn't find his sheet. I assured him that it would be okay to use just a plain piece of paper. So off we went Trick or Treat night to drop off his drawing. (I wish I had taken a picture of it...fall colors a jack-o-lantern, a tree with an 'owl hole' and a pile of leaves.) Thanks ladies, you made a sick boy smile from ear to ear!
