Fish Tales

Peep and his new boat...a love affair like no other. We kinda love it too. I love how wide it is and how deep it is. You feel like it could never sink. Lots of room for three people to fish at one time, just as long as you know where the other people are in the boat. Now netting the big one, that is another story.

The sheep on Waupoos Island. We found the small perch, bass honey hole right off the edge in the rocks beside the concrete wall. Talking to the sheep is always fun. There was one that sounded in distress. Peep wouldn't let me out of the boat to check it out. The only problem when fishing this honey hole is...you have to always be watching the weather over your shoulder because if the wind kicks up in the least little bit the waves become giant swells and it is a real challenge to get back. Some of us experienced that this trip. I am sure that Robin saw her life flash before her eyes.
Pike teeth...something you do not want to come in contact with.

My little bass. Just needed a pic to document the catch. Caught on Michael's little Pirates of the Caribbean pole with the littlest piece of worm on the hook.

Peeps big one right before he filleted it. Never thought I would see the day when my Dad would used an electric fillet knife. I have spend many times watching the big ones go under his knife.

Now this is more like it...old school filleting 101.
