And We Are Off
We decided long ago when we were planning this trip to Canada that we would stay all night close to Niagara Falls so Michael could experience it all. He did research and more research.
You hardly know that Michael is in the car. He might laugh out loud every once in awhile and he is always looking at the clock to see what time it is. And he is not bashful in letting you know that it is getting close to lunch or dinnertime.
I wish we could go more to Northern Canada to see the Mounties in uniform. But that is for the next trip.
Michael's first close up look at the Falls. I think he was so impressed.
Love the ponchos! And we saved ours for a rainy day...can't wait. We walked thru the tunnels and I know that Michael read every printed word...and Dustin was right there with him.
Documentation of our Journey Behind the Falls.
Mark always knows just when to pull a rabbit out of the hat. We had to walk from Journey Behind The Falls to the Maid of the Mist...which is a couple of blocks. To get us to move a little quickly some ice cream was in order.
According to all the literature these are the Bridal Falls on the American side.
The American Falls have had a few tumbles and are eroding away. The Corp of Engineers wants to remove the rocks at the bottom. They even built a levee to hold the water back so they could take care of the problem. Then it was decided it was not a very good idea after all.
The Rainbow Bridge as seen from the deck of the Maid of The Mist. The US is on the right and Canada on the left.
Incline Railroad
So many things to see and do. Lots for the next trip.
