Tragedy Averted

What do you do when you are the only one that can smell gas in the house? What do you do when you have turned on your gas logs in the fireplace and you smell gas in the house? What do you do when you find out from the three firefighters that you have called... that arrive with a firetruck with all its lights on...that you have two gas leaks in your house (one in the line in the furnace and the other in the line to your gas logs?)... Watch as the firefighters turn off the gas to your house and run as fast as you can to the nearest Holiday Inn and pray that your house doesn't blow up sometime during the night. That is what happened to us on Thurday night. So Friday morning we got to enjoy a contienntal breakfast at the Holiday Inn. Then we rushed back home so Sarah could get ready for work...so Michael could get on the bus and Emmy and I could head for West Virginia for Sarah Beth's surgery. Our favorite AC and Heating guys took good care of us but we still have to have a plumber or someone like that figure out what to do about the gas logs. Tragedy averted.
