Sunday Drive
Mark decided to take us on what I used to call with the MWBYouth..a Destination Unknown. Only he gave no hints to where we were going. We just drove south. We tried to find the house we almost bought the first time we moved to Cincinnati. We were in the right area I think but things sure have changed in the 20 years when we were first house hunting. Never did find it. If I saw it I would remember it...loved that house...it had a nice fenced in backyard with a pool and Jack and Jill bedrooms for the girls but the kids were have gotten on two different school buses and gone in opposite directions. And that was NOT happening. And time flies!Of course we drive hours and hours out in the country. But that is not all bad...found this cool barn. I have never seen anything like this before. I was itching to get in it to see what I could find...some real treasures I know. Our final destination. Oh my, Michael and Sarah were not thrilled at all. Sarah never got out of the van and Michael ran all over the hillside until he needed to check out the actual outhouse. This is the Blessings Garden at Sugar Bay Daylilies. These are all the orphaned lilies that don't have a home...they don't know where they came from or what they are until they bloom. With every purchase you get to choose a lily from this garden...FREE. We were talking to one of the ladies that helps and she says on your return trip you are to bring a lily from your own garden. Kinda like a Pass It On.
Now you have to see one of my favorites...sorry Terry, more flowers.
a two tone that I can't remember the name of
Northbrook Star
Katherine Woodbery
Garden Queen
Chorus Line
BlackJack Cherry
So when we got home I went out into our gardens and cut some of our lilies and added them to some of the cuttings from our trip. Hopefully the ones we planted will be big and beautiful in a few years and I can post pictures of them....I know that you all will be sitting at your computers just waiting for those entries.
