West Virginia Fun
The road trip to WV seems to always be an adventure. We never know what is going to happen...where we will have to stop to take a potty break, what we see and of course the 'roller coaster' part of the ride on Portsmouth Road. Alaire never fails to entertain. Here she is leading our morning exercise session entitled, 'CarSeat WorkOut'. Don't we all wish that we could do this?
This is the face you get when you surprise the taste buds of someone that is expecting regular gummy worms. Mark had gotten me some of the really sour gummy worms as my treat for the trip. Ellis wanted to try one...I think he liked it!
There aren't too many great bathroom stops along Portsmouth Road so you gotta just pull over and open the door. What more do I need to say?
What amazes me is that we can spend tons of money for the latest toys but kids always like playing with the box better. My Dad has a dog door. Ellis and Alaire loved crawling in and out of the dog door.
How funny is this shot?! They played in and out the door for a good 30 minutes...until Stitch needed to go out.
Ellis was so funny. I wonder if Cassie and Trevor will be able to make a doggie door for Eli?
Alaire was having a tough morning until I asked her if she wanted to go to Pepaw's house. Then when she found out that she could 'drive' she was more than willing to go up the hill. (Mark's parents live less that a block from my parents house...up the hill and half way down the other side.)
No wonder Cassie is no bigger than a minute...she is ALWAYS sharing what ever she is eating. Breakfast of champions...Lucky Charms.
One of my favorite times of the day...Snuggle Time. Ellis and Alaire are quick to snuggle. But the smiles and giggles are priceless.
Peep has a real wooden ladder on his wall that leads to the attic. We were never allowed to climb that ladder because we might hit the thermostat and tear it up. But Ellis was allowed to climb...several times.
Not to be outdone by her big brother...Alaire popped up the ladder in no time. All the while Peep reminding Cassie to be real careful.
There was so much more but my camera battery/camera went on the fritz. Hopefully Cassie will post some other pictures on her blog about swimming at RaRe's house.
