RRPC...Growing
I was so excited when I read about this challenge. I can't believe I am came up with something that might be used. YEA! So, the challenge is to photograph something that is growing...something, anything. I had plans to show you how our grand children have grown over the past year. I had even more plans to show you all the things that are growing in our yard. I thought about posting pictures of Michael and Sarah when they first came to live with us...all these sounded great but when I took this picture the other day with Luke's help...I knew I was going to use it. Let me begin at the beginning...We have had several nests of baby birds in the last few months. Luke, our buddy next door, has had none...that is until we hear baby birds crying. It took a little while for us to figure out where the nest was. Finally one day I noticed a bird that kept going in and out of the top of the basketball hoop pole...only about 10 feet off the ground. It was way taller that I could reach. So, Mr John had his ladder out and Luke and I asked if we could borrow it. We movedthe ladder as close to the pole as we could...flower bed got in the way...and you know how I am about my flowers. We both climbed the ladder and found this nest about 1/3 of the way down the pipe. I have no idea how these baby birds are going to continue to live in this small space and how in the world are they going to ever fly out...they will have to fly straight up and out. I just thought they angle was interesting. And seven little birds...that has to be some kind of record. Tomorrow I am going to watch to see if I can figure out what kind of birds these are. I'll keep you informed. While you are waiting why not stop by and see what is growing with the rest of the Robins.
If you enjoy the photos and the shots , why not try the next challenge. It will be posted on Sunday. It is fun. You make all kinds of new friends and the best part is that you can learn so much from all the talented photographers. Check it out!

I played too ... with a non-growing pic :)
It's an amazing picture. I am worried about the little ones, I hope they will be ok. Please keep me posted, and if they do fly out, and you are able to, please post an update to this entry. I would enjoy seeing them fully grown.

Thanks for sharing.
Please visit mine and comment. Have a good one.
From the photo I took I would not think they were ready to flee the nest but regardless they are gone. I just hope that they left willingly and that nothing bad happen to them.
Love your capture. It is a good entry for "Growing"
Thanks for visiting my site. As to my BIL's garden they grow a bit of everything. If there is a seed or plant available they give it a try. They have a fruit orchard. Strawberries, blueberries and every vegetable possible.
It is hard work but their annual grocery bill is extremely small and they eat healthy.
Thanks for the great challenge, and thanks for your comment. It gave me a giggle.

great picture!

I too posted pictures of baby birds. I had been worried about them also because they were so low to the ground and were easy access. The awesome part was we were able to watch them daily and eventually they flew off!
