Top Dog

The first graders work on there reading skills by earning stickers. For every fifteen minutes they read they earn a sticker. We have an official log that we must keep track of the minutes in. Michael has been trying so hard to win the Top Dog Award...you get to choose all kinds of things. Wednesday was the day that all the minutes were calculated. Michael was sitting in the doctors office with an ear infection. That's okay...I got an email from his teacher saying that he had won for the month of March. He was so excited. This morning he popped right out of bed and there wasn't a cross word uttered. He was out the door and at the bus stop before I knew it. Good thing...we overslept...a lot! So tonight he came home with his treasures...a blue stuffed dog he named Popster, a Nerd rope, a bag of BBQ chips he chose for Mark, a plastic Army guy and a kaleidoscope and this awesome Certificate.
