Teacher Gifts
We have always let Michael decide what he wants to get his teachers for Christmas. They always have some kind of thought process...for his 4 year old preschool teacher it was butter. That's right, 4 sticks of butter. We could never figure that one out. (And she still wants me to care for Allyson all day while she was in school). This year he worked and worked many hours in the basement. Finally he announced that he was finished. Here is what his teacher received this year....
A train...complete with a coal car and smoke coming out of the smoke stack... constructed out of a cut up cardboard box and red pop tops and yards and yards of scotch tape. We made some cookies and I sent two movie passes complete with popcorn, drinks and candy. I would have loved to have seen her face when she pulled the train out of the bag. You just never know.
Michaelism: "I chose to make her a train because she said anything. Anything that boys and girls like. Boys and girls like trains. And besides I love them."
