Somewhere my children have missed the memo about the Christmas tree in the basement. I decided that this year we would open gifts in the basement because one...the room is bigger, two...it is tons warmer down there, three...because I can. Emmy made such a big deal about it that Michael and I decorated the lamp in the living room to look like a Christmas tree...complete with a snow angel on top.
