Powder Puff Season

Tonight Michael and I braved 53 degree damp weather to sit on wet, cold, metal stands to watch girls play powder Puff Football.

Under the light on Friday nights...boy does that take me back. I am a little... a lot....rusty on my football knowledge, but it was still fun. Except for the parts where Michael is cold. Michael is hungry. Michael is bored. Michael is fidgety. Michael needs a snack. Michael has run out of his candy stash. Michael wants to go to the car. Michael needs to go to the bathroom.....

Here she is on the sideline with the other half of the Smash Sister Duo...Sarah Ann and Sarah Elizabeth...what a team. I know that Sarah Ann lined up right across from the center on the other team...does that make her the nose guard?...Bryce help me out here! She looked like she knew what she was doing. She was a great cheerleader when she was on the sideline.I think they must have been going over plays here because they were talking and kept pointing out on the field. Maybe they were getting the other teams plays. Who knows. I do know that the two games that I could actually got to watch before Michael started in on his whine...they won 14-0. The first game, on the first play they scored a TD but it was called back because the principal was not on the field at the time...he was busy giving a Breathalyzer to some students. It was so slippery...I can't tell you how many time the girls fell or slid. Looked like someone could have really gotten hurt. This is defiantly not a game or night for girlie girls. One of the best parts for me was listening to the announcer. That guy has a quick wit...he doesn't know too much about football...which is real funny...but the comments that came out of his mouth were hilarious. I saw Dr. Bauer, the principal, look towards the press box a few times and shake his head. Wonder if he will be called into Dr. Bauer's office on Monday morning? Can you find her in this shot. Everyone was down in their 3 point stance and someone moved. As you can see it sure wasn't Sarah...she was down and ready to attack like a Pit Bull. Better not mess with her when it comes to football. She was ready to knock someones block off. As you can see by this picture, she quick off the snap. Hey Bryce, next year I think they want you to come and be a coach. It will be her senior year and they need you bad. If you can't do that, could you at least come over before the games and give her some pointers? So I must end with a short video...enjoy...and the continuous noise in the background is Michael in his other world...Imagination Station...Planet Michael.

Coming later on today... Sarah's Commentary on the game!
