"Homecoming" At MWBC

I was beyond thrilled to be invited to our Cincinnati home church for Fall 'Homecoming' Picnic. You see we attended Mt. Washington Baptist Church the entire time we lived in Cincinnati the first time (10 years). I can tell you many, many stories...ones that would makes you wet your pants and others that would bring you to your knees. We visited several churches in our area. But we would always go back to MWBC. One Sunday Bryce was having a little bit of difficulty got to his class when an angel appeared...in the form of Louann. She whisk him away to her class and he never turned back. Even now when Bryce needs a little bit of TLC, he might show up at a Wednesday night dinner. Cassie and Emmy were taken under wing by Doris and Ernie. They treated the girls to lunches out, drives in the country...they adopted each other as grand parents and grand kids. I found life long friends and prayer warriors...way to many to mention. I was able to work with the youth for many years and their fearless leader. They taught me so much. Many of them are married and moved away, some are till in town, few are out of the country doing great things, some are in Youth Minisrtry...spread all over... but they will all always be in my heart. Those were some of the most memorable times of my life. The people of Mt Washington took our family in, loved us then and love us to this day. Several asked if we were going to return to MW. That is a hard one to answer...you can never really go back home. Things change. We have made our church home close to Mark's work and Michael enjoys being there where we can attend as a family on Saturday night. Sarah enjoys Sunday mornings and youth activities at the church where all her friends attend.

So Cassie, this slide show is for you...see who you can recognize. I'm sure that you will know some of the faces. Thanks Richard for sharing you pictures.
