MHS Homecoming 2008

Maybe the title should be Homecoming Week 2008. Everyday this week has been something different...from Toga Day to Class Color Day. A lot of fun and a lot of running around trying to get things together. Not to mention trying to find a dress. Thank heavens Emmy has a never ending closet of clothes at our disposal. Once again she saves the day...for two of the girls actually. I took Frick and Frack to the parade. They crack me up. All they cared about was if the people in the parade were going to throw candy. And yes they did. Ms Renee supplied the candy bags and the boys were set. Next year I am going to have to remember to not get there so early. The parade started at 6PM. By the time they got down to the Junior High School it was 6:30PM or later. Too much down time for two antsy little boys. But we had a great time and got lots of candy. They even knew a few of the little football players on a 'float'. I gotta tell you about the Parade Marshall. This is Red. I got to meet him one day when we had the power outage. He was checking on his sister or sister-in-law that just happens to live right up the street. He is the nicest man. Come to find out that he is the custodian at the high school. The kids adore him. The entire school voted for him to be the Grand Marshall...and he was thrilled and honored. He is a retireeand so loves kids! Really nice man. What would a parade be without the mascot. I can only imagine how hot the person inside that costume was. FYI...it is an eagle. Pretty tought looking one at that. Not like any eagle I have ever seen...right Emmy? And last but not least...a picture of the entire crew. Two of the guys and girls had an actual date. The girl beside Sarah Ann in the black dress...that is one the Old-Mighty-Bargain-Shopper Emmy found for only $10. They crack me up. After pctures they were going out to dinner at Los Cabos and then on to the dance until 11. Then they are comig back here for who know what and some of the girls will be spending the night. Monkey Bread for breakfast!

Oh let's just make it clear that they dress that Emmy found for $10 does NOT AT ALL look like it does in the pic! It is actually a really pretty black dress, but the girl decided to put a chain around it. What ever! I am sure you know what I think about that, but as long as she felt beautiful who cares!
