DIY NZ...Stake Toppers

I am always looking for unique eye catching things for our gardens/yard. I love being able to recycle junk of all kinds. The more junk I have in my junk pile the better I like it.
I was going through one of the many gardening books we have lying around here the other day and ran on to these cool things called stake toppers. I said to myself. "Self, how can we use these in our yard to be something unique and worth a second look?" And just look what Self had to say...
I chose these two old fishing lures from Mark's tackle box. I had to fight off the spiders and cobwebs to get into it...so I guess he won't miss them.I thought the bee would represent me because I am allergic to bee stings. How appropriate? Plus I thought the movie was pretty darn cute. Then the wooden spools. Those were my Mom's (don't worry, I have tons more) and I thought since I quilt, those would be a great addition.Anytime a dish gets a chip in it, they go into the garden. I think we might have two different color sets in the yard right now. A feeder for all the little critters that roam our yard day and night...moles, voles, chipmunks, squirrels, birds, snakes...and those are only the ones I have seen.

I am still searching for thing for Sarah and Ella. Then I might just have to move on to Cassie, trevor, Ellis, Alaire, Emmy, Bryce, Seau. Tini, Tobi, Peep, Mamaw and Papaw...the list in endless...who knows. So I guess that means I need to go clean out some more closets and drawers.

Those are great stake toppers. Remember the glass doorknobs we found at the flee market? Didi you use those for toppers too!?!
