The Cousins

Awhile ago I wrote about my cousin Tom that was dealing with a brain tumor and complications from it. I had mentioned that we, the cousins and families) were going to have a reunion. I also mentioned that I wish we had be able to take picture of all us cousins in birth order like we used to do at my grandparents house. Guess what...I got one better. Karen sent me some wonder vintage cousins shots. I look at them a lot and smile and sometimes I even laugh out loud.
So let me introduce my cousins in birth order...far right is Mike and he is the oldest, followed by me, then comes Sherry (now you have the oldest of the three families..the Drenan's, the Meadows's and the Jackson's). The happy camper right in the middle of the cousins is Tom, then Andy, Robin, my sister, and Kim is the youngest.

Saturday while I was out in the yard working, I got a call from my Dad telling me that Tom, had passed away. After fighting cancer for I believe two years he finally just went to sleep. It is sad but then I know that now he is in heaven with new healthy body and he is laughing that strong infectious laugh. The angels are not only singing but I am sure that he has them dancing. I will miss his visits and his teasing. Please pray for all the family, especially Karen and she deals with the loss of her best friend and as she tries to make difficult decisions. Cards of encouragement would be wonderful.
