Amish Auction

I have been kicking myself all day today. Why, you might ask...because Mark stumbled on an Amish Auction...two auctioneers...one on one side of the barn and another on the opposite side. (He had actually gone to Miller's Brothers to pick up a chair that that had repaired and a pergola kit...another blog, another day) The ladies were cooking...and there were TONS!!! of Amish. And Mark with no camera. He called me let me hear one of the auctioneers in the background and to tease me...he bought something...actually two lots of stuff and wouldn't tell me. Driving me crazy. Come to find out that this is an annual July 4th weekend auction. Bet you can't guess where I am going to be next Fourth of July weekend. With $$$ and my camera. So here are the treasures...(the little red box is from Ms. Renee)
This is an old Armour box. I think under the green bench on the barn porch is the best place for it. A little out of the weather so it won't rot as fast. We think it might be Armour meats.
Also in the lot were two little beat up milking stools. One for me and one for Ms. Renee. She got the on with a A (for Amicon) on the seat and it had a little star cut out under the seat between the legs. I snuck it over and put it in one of her flower beds tonight while she was gone. Looks really nice. She is always sharing something with me. The little clay flower planter came from her. The day after Cassie and the kids left to go back home and she knew that I was a little down. She is always doing something like that when I am nor having a good day. I told you before, I love my OH neighbors.
Here are two of the three watering cans. They all are different. Each have the original florets (the place where the water pours from), three different handles and I LOVE them! You can't imagine how hard they are to find. Then once you find them they are a fortune.
Mark was able to get all three for less then we have seen others priced. They are in great shape and we have already used the one on the potting bench. Mark just had to try it out. I am sure that you are wondering where the picture is of the third watering can....well, I was in a hurry and forgot to take the pciture. I will have to go out and do it tomorrow morning before we start the next project (you'll see soon enough). I will puit it over on the side of the blog.
So those are my treasures for the day. Pretty good day I would say!

You guys always find such great things. I will not tease you anymore about being trash pickers. The things you have are far from trash. I love them in your yard.
