Krohn Conservatory

We have driven by the Krohn for years and yet never stopped. It is a really cool building of curved glass. I have heard from several of the teachers at preschool that we must take an afternoon and go for a visit. Just so happened that on Mother's Day, all mothers (including mothers of dogs, right Tini) got in free. That's right Tini and Bryce met us there. We stood in a freezing rain for about 20 minutes to finally enter the Butterfly Show. China is letting us borrow about 40 exotic butterflies. Before we entered a nice little old lady put Gatorade on our hands. This is to attract the butterflies. Bryce had her cover his entire palm with it. She even tried to swipe his nose with it. We all tried really had to get them to land on our hands. We even wore bright colored clothing to attract them. Bryce was able to touch a few but they didn't last to long on his hands. That is why the picture is so blurry....maybe I should check to see if there is a 'butterfly' setting on the camera. We saw several really pretty blue, larger butterflies called Morpho and tons of these little ones on Bryce's fingertips... a little orange Cruiser. Can you find him on the poster? Several of the larger butterflies were landing on people's heads and shoulders. We weren't the lucky chosen few. It was fun to watch all the people trying to coax the butterflies onto their fingertips.
After seeing the butterflies we toured the rest of the conservatory. Guess what we saw....
