Michael's Digital Shots

Ahh, another day begins. Michael sleeps late, Mark has been at work for hours, we won't see Sarah until way after noon, Ella is snuggled warm at my feet and I am loving every minute of the silence with my electric blanket. And then that all changes. Michel is up and ready to try to win at the game we played until late last night on the computer. Michael and I are trying our best to solve all the problems and get to the treasure chest. But there is this one spot that we just have the hardest time with. That's were Sarah is the best. She has nerves of steel. We snuck into her room to wake her gently to tell her that we have found the key to the secret passage and we needed her to get through the spears. I made them promise that everytime we lost a live, we would go get one chore done and the we could try again. I have never seen them move so fast. We all made beds. We all unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher. We all folded laundry. And finally we got back to the part that Sarah does best. We had to give Michael a distraction..."Michael, take my camera and go around the house a take some pictures of your favorite things." I made a slide show of his pictures. I wish I could remember all the reasons he chose what he did...they were priceless! So enjoy our home through the eyes of a six year old. (I didn't come up with this brilliant idea by myself. I have a new blog buddy, who just happens to be an art teacher...she is the brillant one). Enjoy his shots. "Sarah doing her best monkey face." Michael thinks it is the funniest things he has ever seen.
"The is the TV. I can watch all my shows on there whenever I want."
"Mom, you know that is my smallest treasure box with little tresures in it."
"I made that picture of the train from Word World for Ellis. When he comes back he can see it. He will love it!"
"You know I like the big puddle. Luke and I sail ships on it. We even have boat races. I am the best at it."
"That's Sarah's cute, cuddly puppy...her Valentine puppy."
"Don't be scared Mom, it is just a skull on a flag."
"That's just my school bus, you know the one I ride on to school in the mornings and then back home just in time for lunch."
"Ice Road Truckers"
"Mom, you know that is my Polar Express train. Remember it used to have some glass with a picture of me in it but I broke the glass?""I just love a good pirate story. And this is a funny one."
"BEMEMBER...Dad got me this to put up in my room."
"I just like this brown pillow because it is soft and cold."
"The fridge"...said with the biggest grin I have ever seen.
"I like this chair because it is big and soft and warm."
"This is my favoritest Polar Express I ever did."
"I took a picture of outside because I like to go out there."
"I painted this pirate ship a long time ago."
"I got those puzzle pieces from the Robert's on Robert's Mountain. You know in that state where I used to live."
"Ella Bella, isn't she the cutest puppy in the whole wide world?"
"The fireplace. It keeps my back warm when I am watching TV."
"The fridge. We keep cold treats in there."
"Ultimus Prime. You know that Ms. Renee got that for my birthday,"
"The Big Boy...when steamies rules the rails."
"My big pirate ship with the sails that I made."
"You BEMEMBER when Dad brought that home for me to put in my room but it was too big."

Awesome pics, little guy! And I totally agree about Ella Bella! We lost our doggy-friend in November, so give Ella a little extra belly-rub for me, OK?

A budding photographer emerges. By the way, my kids are wondering why you had a snow day with only three inches of snow, when we had one with 14!
