Creative Juices

Michael has spent I can't tell you how many hours entertaining himself and using that creative imagination all week. These are just a few of his drawings. "This is a smiling whale in the middle of the ocean. He is smiling because he loves to swim in the warm water that is close to Hawaii." Don't we all!
Here we have just the beginnings of Michael teaching himself to draw pirate ships. I need to find one of his latests with all the details, including the parrot on the captian's shoulder. "I just drew that ship just because I was bored."
Just moving on to other ships on the ocean...how about a battleship... Michael loves to play Battleship when we go to Mamaw's house. "This is the greatest battleship because it battles all the other battleships and wins."
This colorful ship took about a week to complete. He is a master when it comes to using tape. He informes me that "the No Girls sign is because the pirate movie would be too scary for girls"...that is all but me...I can see the movie "as long as I make the popcorn."
Today he came home from school with a dinosaur. Michael got to go to center one today at school. "It was kinda boring in center one, but center 3 was right next to it, so I just got a piece of paper from there and drew some dinosaurs."

Good thing he likes to draw when he's board. That's a great past time. The drawings are wonderful. Is it time to but some acrylic frams and hand the drawings on the walls going up the stairs???

Oh that little man. He makes me smile. Oh adn I hope you do not read that to him because he will correct you that Battle ship is at Sarah Beffs not Mamaw's.
These are great!!! He's got a lot of detail in these drawings! How old is he? Get that boy some good art supplies!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I really enjoyed my visit to your "garden." Your ice storm pictures remind me of one we had here a few years ago in WV -- we were without power for almost a week! (Some people had it a lot worse!) We had the beginnings of one his morning, but thankfully, it wasn't that bad. *whew!*

Rebecca....Michael just turned 6 last December. He is amazing in more ways than just his drawings. He came to live with us when he was 5 days old thru foster care. We adopted him after about 2 1/2 years of court dates..etc. He is #10 of 12 siblings. I'd love to hear whar you think we ought to do to further his creativity. Email me @ Itsahoot24@aol.com.
