Fun after Dark
Two nights ago our doorbell rang and a lady, new to our neighborhood, was selling luminaries for $3.00. Tonight at 7PM Michael and I filled our white bags...completely decorated with twelve different hand drawn Christmas related pictures done by the resident artist in Milford, with wet sand and tea lights. Michael and Luke helped by pulling the wagon down the driveway. We lined the street with our twelve bags. I have a totally burnt thumb to prove who had we worked getting these things ready. Renee and John had fancy bags with cut out snowflakes. They were silver and really nice. Renee and I then loaded the boys in their wagons and walked around the neighborhood looking at the Christmas decorations and counting how many people participated in the luminaries. It was fun but Michael said at the end of the ride that he wanted to spend time with Luke's family. He just doesn't ever want to leave their sides. He has a second home in Ohio...and this is a good thing. Renee and I have already decided that next year it is going to be bigger and better. We hope to get more neighbors involved....and if they won't we might just do it for them....kinda like Santa's little helpers.
