Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was wild and woolly as usual around here...Bryce was here...need I say more? I wanted to share every fascinating moment with you all but thought you might just get bored. So I have chosen the best of the highlights...which we will call Best Highlights and Stories from Christmas 2007. We begin our story with picking Emmy up from the Airport Christmas Eve. Never realized that so many people traveled that late on Christmas Eve. It seems so weird not attending a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. So on the way one we got to see the lights of the Big City. We had to take Em by her apartment to pick up a few things...like gifts...very important stuff. The city was lit in red, green and white. It was really pretty. Emmy said that I was like a tourist. I don't care...it was fun. We made it home to luminaries lit, and Christmas music playing...thank you Sarah Ann.
Michael was sure that he heard something on the roof and was up bright and early to let us all know about it. So the day begins. Bryce heads straight for the stockings. As tradition would have it, a little gift, some chocolate and a clementine. Michael was thrilled with the chocolate because he LOVES...LOVES...LOVES chocolate.Sarah even had her smile on. Michael just kept piling up the gifts in front of her. They were both excited. After all is said and done, we always have a fashion show to see how things go together. I know that is what she is dreaming of as she is sitting there waiting, and waiting....Each year when you ask Mark what he would like for Christmas, he gives the same answer..."peace on earth". This year he added "good will towards men." The first year he told Sarah that she came up with picture of the planet earth with peace printed across it. Get it, peace ON earth. So this year she put them all together and that is just what Mark got for Christmas...peace on earth and good will 2 men. Since Emmy is trying to become the next fashion designer for kids I hooked her up with a sewing box filled with all sorts of sewing essentials. Now all we have to do is find her a monogramming sewing machine and she will be set. I have always wanted one of those pin cushions that you wear on your wrist..well, she now has one and I hope that she will let me borrow it sometime. There is, of course, a story to go along with this totally surprised look on my face. Somewhere on a road in Ohio Michael and I were driving and talking. Somewhere in his little mind he dreamed that I loved snow globes and that he was just sure that Santa was going to bring me one. Needless to say we had no snow globe for me under the tree as of Christmas Eve afternoon. I told Mark the story and low and behold Christmas morning a snow globe appeared under our tree. Michael found it, "the last gift of Christmas" under the tree. He was so excited. "See Mom, I told you Santa knew you loved snow and snow globes." It made my heart happy. This isn't the greatest picture of Tini but we were trying to get a picture of Tini rubbing Ella's belly. Ella doesn't lay still for anything. We were all shocked. Once I got up and got the camera she must have know we were trying to get a picture of her...she, Ella, decided that she needed to get up and chase Tobi around the house again for the millionth time.

Cassie this last slide show is for you and Trevor, Ellis and Alaire. We were missing you Christmas morning in all the chaos (and by the looks of your blog, it was pretty hectic at you house too.) We didn't want you to miss out...oh...the music was especially chosen for your enjoyment!
