Loose Ends
I have been trying to catch up this week since I was in WV last week for a few days. It is amazing the amount of dust and stuff that can accumulate. And how tired you actually are after you get home back in "home mode". I don't know how in the world Mark and Kate are doing it.
I can home to one sick little boy...ear infection and a big old yellow running nose...gross! So we have been taking it easy, doing calm things in the house. Michael will surely grow up being some type of engineer...and I don't mean one that drives a train. He was invited to a birthday party for one of his friends from preschool that is also in his class this year. All week he worked on a building with an American Freedom Train billboard on top. After that was finished he made a pirate ship diorama. We wrapped all of those creations in a box with a gift that Michael chose from Wal-Mart. The best part was that he got to wear his pirate costume one more time. Best costume money that we have ever spent! Our little Holiday Parade was Friday night. Mark was able to scoot home just in time to join us. Luke got to go with us...so Ms. Renee could rest a little bit..she has a bad cold. So bad that she is using the neti pot and putting Vicks on her feet with warm socks. (Dr. Oz strikes again). It was cold but I was prepared with lots of gloves, hats and extra warm blankets. The parade was fun and it did put you into the spirit some. The boys loves it because they got yet more candy. Then after that we got a call from Emmy saying that Noodles and Company was opening and they were having people come and eat for FREE...a soft opening Mark says...so we drove 30 minutes to eat Mac&Cheese...the best we learned about when were were in WI.
I saved this picture and story for last because I wanted to make sure that Julie didn't seen them until Sunday when she was in Huntington. The story...While we were in Huntington, Emmy gets a brainstorm from everyone calling her a "tree-hugger" to make some onesies for Gracie and Alaire. Sarah Beth is going to make sure that Gracie gets hers today. Alaire will just have to wait for hers I guess until Christmas. They are so cute and take next to no time to make. The one with the pink breast cancer ribbon on the front has "Love Your Guts" across the bottom in pink of course. Sarah Beth loved them. I can't wait to hear what Julie says. Emmy should go into business and sell them on some web site. That would be fun. They are so easy and look really nice. Alaire night just end up with a tons of them in every color that we can find...good thing Cassie likes long sleeved onesies.
