Light The Night Walk
On Thursday, September 20th, I will be walking in honor of Kate Daly....this summer Kate, the person that I am sitting in for as The Interim Administrative Assistant, was diagnosed with a rare form of acute myeloid leukemia. You can imagine the shock for us all and for her family. Her life has been changed forever. So, this week some of the teachers and parents are taking advantage of the opportunity to honor her by participating in the Light The Night Walk sponsored by The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Light The Night is an annual nationwide walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Funds from the LTN walk will be used for research to find a cure for blood cancers, leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma and improve the quality of life of the patients and their families.
