Welcome Back
Michael, Ellis and I made the trip back to Louisville, KY to pick up Cassie. The boys love the airport and all the exciting things it has to offer...snacks, four levels of stairs, a moving sidewalk, elevators, escalators, hallways to race in, lots of people to see, and airplanes galore.I don't have any pictures to show you all the fun we had...I forgot it in the car....oh well. I have found that Ellis loves several things...his paci, his "wankie", eating, Michael, tractors, airplanes and driving. Every time we gt out of the car, if nothing else better is going on, he has to drive and honk the horn. We have been driving over to the High School to watch the drums practice. He loves the drums, too.It has been so hot lately that you have to be almost wet all the time that you are playing outside. Ellis and I try to fill the pool early each morning so by the time he gets up from his nap it is warm enough to get in. We still haven't been able to get swimming trunks on Ellis...he loves swimming in this clothes and shoes. There have even been a few evenings when he went skinny dipping and thought it was hilarious. Michael on the other hand would have no part in that stuff. Guess he must be getting older.....On Tuesday, Emmy and Nate came over to see if we wanted to go geocaching with them. Of course we did but we had to wait until Ellis was asleep. Cassie opted to stay home in the AC with her feet up and rest while she could...you know how those pregnant ladies are...delicate flowers...Emmy found two "treasure's" to hunt for...both in the cemetery close to the house. Nate and Michael pose for the picture at the first find. But actually Emmy figured out the clues and found the cache first. Our next hunt began where we left off...in the back of the cemetery. We looked everywhere. We read old grave markers. We looked behind bushes and over the hill. But you can see who has eagle eyes and came up with the small cache. I was so proud to find this before anyone else. I am a terrible treasure hunter...ask anyone who has gone geocaching with us...I stink! But not this night...I came up with the treasure that everyone simply overlooked...we all looked in the same tree several times. If I didn't know better, I'd think that Emmy and Nate found it but then planted it so I could find it. I guess we will never know. As I have said several time, the boy loves to eat. yesterday we had errands to take care of, so while we were out we stopped for pizza at LaRosa's. Here Ellis was enjoying his appetizer of black olives and Parmesan cheese. What is dinner without a Popsicle on the driveway. Skyler brought down a box to share after a bike ride around the neighborhood. Speaking of bike rides...check our our latest video of Michael conquering turns. He will ride/practice riding in the yard until I am able to take the boys to the cul-de-sac to practice their turns and skid marks. As if we have much spare time, Cassie and I have been making some little things for Ellis and Ladybug...nursery set, receiving blankets, pillows, window treatments, sheets and quilts. Ellis loves his little tractor sheet that we have for him to ride on while he is here. Today we found this fabric...why not make a sheet for his new big boy bed that will greet him in his new room in his new house in his new city in CO. Hopefully he will love the sheets and not want to get out of his big boy bed. We can only pray! Guess that is all for now, seeing that it is 1:15AM...oh my goodness.

About the time the kids hit Kindergarten, they don't want to run around naked any more. I remember a time when you couldn't keep clothes on Michael at all.
