Saturday...
Another slow start to the day but this Dad we had Pappy with us in the morning until he had to go to work. We decided to take the boys over to the park for some fun...the weather couldn't have been better...it was almost chilly in the shade. Ellis and Michael climbed all over the play equipment.
Ellis loved driving while Michael and Mark chased each other all over the place. Cassie and I got to sit and stand and then sit again while Ellis played in one area. Just before we were getting ready to leave, Michael decided that he wanted to play in the sand box. And of course Ellis followed right be hide calling "Michael" all the way. They sat on the edge of the huge sand box, I guess waiting for a turn with the buckets. But they never made it that far....we had to get Pappy back so he could get ready to go to work.
Our afternoon consisted of naps, TV, reading and snacks. It was really nice to just chill. Once Ellis was up from his nap we had to get ready to go to church. Michael was more than ready and Ellis just went off playing like he had been there forever. That sure does make you feel better about leaving them in their "classes".On the way home Sarah entertained the boys with her bubble blowing skills. Ellis kept asking for "Moe" Cassie was having a craving for more LaRosa's pizza so we took a few pies home for dinner. After dinner Michael asked for something cold...meaning ice cream or Popsicles. So he headed for the front porch swing. Ellis could see him from the table and he was ready for his cold sweet treat.Looks like he might be liking this ice cream stuff pretty much. He was covered by the time it was finally all gone. The boys got in one more bike ride and one more tractor ride. Both of them have new tricks...Michael can ride with no hands and Ellis can do a wheelie...Everyone is ready for bed...thank heavens and so am I. Tomorrow is already planned...Pappy is off and we are going to Old Milford to walk the streets and check out the train store because Michael swears that they have new trains in the window.
