Thursday morning I was closing the windows to turn on the air when what did I see out my window.....anyone have any idea what this is...We think maybe a young grouse or young pheasant.
I'm checking my bird book and it looks like a female ring-tailed phesant, although I can't see the brest, the feet, or how long the tail is to be sure. Also, phesants usually like open areas like praries and cleared farm fields for seeds.
