Spring Break Sewing Projects

Emmy and I finally finished all of the receiving blankets and burp diapers...we really need to come up with a new name for those. These were the two that we started with. The fabrics are so soft and cuddly. The lighter one has blue lions, orange giraffes and green alligators on the fabric. We made them a little smaller than regular receiving blankets to be used just to cover up during a nap when the babies first come home from the hospital...you know when they are in a "wad" and don't do too much moving around.
These were some of our favorite fabrics. The cow print was in honor of Wisconsin...not really, it was just really cute. The monkeys are funny because they are all making different silly faces. The frogs were just cute. We zig zagged the bindings on the burp diapers in coordinating colors.
I think this has to be our favorite fabric..only because Ellis has a receiving blanket just like this one. He didn't have any burp diapers but I am sure that his little brother or little sister will have some to match all the receiving blankets and quilts that are going to be made.
These are really soft and cute also. The one with the little bugs is the sweetest thing. The baby food jars are kinda french feeling...like the kid should be eating on the corner cafe.

I don't understaand you say you don't have a GPS device, but this is faulty information.

The blankets are nice and remind me of Ellis. I think Emmy looks enthused as can be, must be on like number 75 of making those things.

Tell Emm to look for me a pattern for beach pants...I think those would be easy to make and I loved my ones from GAP...a nice green or even kaki color however you spell that???

alright have a great day!

The best Son-N-Law you've ever had!
