Bark Park

Yesterday before it got too late and the park got too crowded, Michael, Ella and I went to check out the Bark Park. There is an awesome park with a skateboard park, basketball hoops, children's play area, walking trails, a small lake and a bark park...complete with a water fountain (bubbler for those of your living in WI)just for dogs. Michael thought that was pretty darn cool. In one section they have fenced off an area where you can let your dogs run free. There is a special section for puppies and small dogs. Ella loved it!Michael is determined to teach Ella lots of tricks. Yesterdays attempt was to catch the Frisbee. First I think we should probably teach Michael how to throw the Frisbee. He gave it several valiant attempts, but Ella would have nothing to do with it. All she wanted to do was eat the dirt on top of all the mole holes that she could find and run...if she ever gets out we are in big trouble...I think she could run all the way to KS without ever looking back.Michael was thrilled to be able to let her run free. I got a little nervous when eight big dogs showed up and kept running to our area...almost like they were looking for lunch. Ella is still so small that she could have easily squeezed under the gate and then lets just say that the rest would be history. Even in this picture she seems to be checking put the other side of the fence...the grass is always greener....A boy and his dog worn out! Both of them crashed. It was a good day to have a new puppy. You might be wondering how Sarah is doing with the newest addition to the family...as long as she doesn't have to do anything for Ella and Ella will sleep in her arms wrapped up in a blanket like a baby she loves her. The barking and nipping drive her crazy but for the most part I think she is enjoying her. Sarah has even said that when she gets bigger she will take her on runs with her. So we are adjusting and reading all we can on dog training, people training...we all need a refresher course on puppies!

The bark park is such a cool idea. And a Bubble for dawgs, that's great!
