Sarah's First Spring Meet

Sarah and I went back in time today. Milford was competing in the Anderson Not Really Relays. Cassie, Emmy and Bryce graduated from Anderson, so it was like going to old home week. We even got a chance to go out on the turf on the football field. I was up in the press box when she threw the discus. She came in 4TH out of nine girls. I am not sure the distance.I kept hearing names being announced and then I would look for the kids. Probably five or more were students in my classes at preschool. Then we saw the Racer's. Well, we saw all but one and then Sharone got Hunter on the phone. We got to talk to Bryce's former football coaches, one special booster, several of Cassie and Emmy's track coaches, and of course former Anderson football stars. It was great! Here is Sarah letting go of the second place in the shot put...her PR at 31 feet 1 1/2 inches. We had a deal that if she throws 31 feet I would take her out to lunch. If she throws 33 feet she could add an ice cream. Just lunch today.

DOROTHY, WE AREN'T IN KS ANYMORE: Mark and I drove to Indy last night to pick up the weary travelers. Through wind and rain we arrived back home about 1:30AM. We heard story after story and then total the silence. We had to say good-bye to Sarah Beth today. Emmy drove her half way and Aunt Kate picked her up. Emmy promises that she will add to the blog when she rests up from the trip. I can hardly wait!

Michael creative juices are flowing again. This time he and Luke are out in the backyard drawing in the dirt. Here we have a rocket with three windows and some planets that are in outer space. Just so you know...the circle within a circle is Saturn, Michael's favorite planet. Luke was busy planting "flowers" for me. Then he would dump the dog water on them.

are you sure that those are three windows and not letters becuase according to MR. Saturn they all have letters on them. Maybe he heard that from the educator of the year.
