A BIG Monday

Today has been a really big day...first...Mark hit the double nickles today...Yes, AARP is knocking down our doors. We had a big birthday celebration last night with all the family including Tobi and Seau. We had a delicious dinner of beef roast with vegetable and a new brussel sprouts recipe from Rachael Ray that was delightful.Tini made our birthday treat...cookies made from cake batter. They were some of the best cookies I have had in a long time...Mt. Washington Bakery's thumbprint cookies have met their match. Emmy and the girls came over for lunch. Since we were experiencing a heat wave at 45 degrees, we decided to take them to the park for a bike/wagon ride. Michael has turned into a photographer. He took this group shot. He wasn't in the mood to have his picture taken. He and Emmy posed for one last shot before we headed to the playground. If I didn't know better, I might think that
Emmy was his Mom by the looks of those wonderful smiles. That will be one in each of their wedding slide montague. Then after all that excitement our Bible Study group met for dinner at Bob Evans and then on to the Club House for our session and dessert. Here is a picture of all the ladies. How fun it was to be able to spend some time with them and Beth Moore every week. It is like I never left. The ladies from our church from six years ago opened their arms wide and welcomed me in with more love than you can imagine. We are planning another study real soon. Now it is off to pace Mark for a trip to St. Louis. You know what that means...king size all to myself...but having to run the early morning shuttle to school. Oh well, like they say you can't have your cake and eat it too. Note to those in Kansas...we all realized you weren't here in person..but I was counting the phone call we shared during the party as you all being here.
