Sewing frenzy
On top of that huge project I have been trying to use all my scraps to make place mats to use on the table so it won't have to be covered up all the time. It is so beautiful I have having it covered up all the time. So now I have 12, count 'em...12 place mats that I have made from scraps. I also had just enough of these fabrics to make a trivet. to match. I think I can remember all the original quilts that were made from the fabrics.
No Michael stories today...I think he is trying to be on his best behavior. We did make a drawbridge today from cereal boxes. He got the idea from one of the books that we borrowed from the library on Friday. At least we are sorta moving away from trains. Sara is studying for a big test on Tuesday and Mark is off doing his work thing. So life is somewhat laid back on the farm today. I'll take it!
We were in the basement keeping warm. You can only play and watch so much TV. I got the idea to make pillows from the sweatshirts my sister sent for the t-shirt quilt. The red pillow has red piping around it. I got that wild hair from making drawbridges with Michael.
