Wild Adventures That Include Spiders, Firefighters, Bats, And A Bunch of Chaos

While the boys were in the basement, the girls were doing what they love best...

The gang on Friday...minus Pappy.

The Cone of Shame.  Gladys and I get a bad case of 'the allergies' every fall and every spring.  Hers are really bad this year.  So we live with the cone for a while.   Thank heaven I don't need to wear a cone.

A Wammyville graduate came to visit all day.  Madi was a great help!

This is one of my favorite October crafts.  I have been helping to make these hats since way back in my WV days!

They are always a big hit!

We are still trying to improve these little finger /hand muscles.

We are also still trying to figure out that pencil grip.

This kid right here knows nature.  A spider not only has eight legs, but also eight eyes.

And then there was this.  Thank heavens it happened at his school and not preschool.  I am told that he just kept bouncing off things in his classroom and on the playground.

A broken clavicle later.  He's a trooper!  One tough cookie.

Gladys didn't want to do too much her first couple of days with the cone.  Ava was the first one to get her to eat.

Mr. Jon came to talk about fire safety.

He always does an awesome job.  The yahoos always take in every word and ask some pretty serious questions.

The water cannon is always a big hit!

There is a flame on the tree, and they try to hit it and put it out.

Mr. Jon always comes with lots of goodies.  This year Carson found Mr. Jon in the coloring book!

More spiders.

Spider eye cookies

Learning to follow instructions...directed drawing.

And Lilly found a real spider on the front porch.

All safe here.

We tried our hands at making slime.

Nope...not ever again.  I'll stick to playdough.

Now I need some help lifting the glass off the table and cleaning it, along with the table.  That glass is so heavy!

The boys have always loved a good construction project.
