Reopening Of The Happy Church in Clayhole, KY

What a day to celebrate.  I'm so glad that we were able to make the trip and take two families from Eastside with us.

I wish I had pictures of Clayhole the last time we were there.  This church was down to the studs.  There was nothing. Now you walk into a beautiful sanctuary.  And check out the spiral staircase that leads to the soundboard.

The cooking started while everyone was in the church service.

Mr. Harrmann was the main burger flipper.

The Bruces traveled down with us.  Levi and Avery made lots of new friends.

Sound check and getting the nerves out.  The church was starting to fill up 30 minutes before the service even started.

Hopefully, Connie and Mike will send us a copy of the video that they are making.  I hope so because I want you to hear and see this church filled to standing room only and the singing...great!

Eastside provided the hamburgers and hot dogs and all the fixin's along with drinks, and the families of The Happy Church provided an amazing array of veggies, fruits, and desserts.

I made some new friends and got to love on 'my' people.  The lady in the hat was a hoot.  She made mac and cheese.  It went fast!  She was so cute in her hat.  There is a story behind that.  She got dressed before she started cooking and couldn't get her apron off without having to take her hat off and redo her hair, so she just decided that she would just wear it.  I love that!
It was the best!

I might have gone to the dessert table first.

Thanks to the Bruces and Mr. Harrmann!  Looking forward to going back as always!
