Casting Lines And Making Memories
We first tried the little pond at Miami Meadows and found that it was full of growth...too much to successfully fish.
So we moved to the big lake and got busy.
Our fishermen learned to bait their own hooks, cast, patiently wait most of the time, and pull them in. Pappy and I took them off the hook. But Sam did give it a try, but Mia said no thank you very much...nope, not touching a single fish.
Mia's first fish
She was so excited. It was the first fish of the night.
We used hot dogs coated with garlic salt. The fish loved it.
My first little fish caught on my tenkara rod. So fun!
Sam's first fish. He said that the fish's mouth wasn't even big enough for him to put his thumb in to hold it.
Sister was on a roll.
Another one for Sam.
He reminds me of Bryce fishing when he was little.
We thought by the third fish that she would hold it for a pic. Nope. She wanted to, but just couldn't do it.
Biggest fish of the night.
The big kid wants to show her fish, too.
And she just keeps pulling them in.
Last fish of the night.
I think they loved it. Next time...bigger hooks, frozen chicken livers, heavier sinkers, and we are going after the big catfish in the middle of the lake!
And a great time was had by all!
