A Lot Of Work...In A Good Way

Meet little Ms Cora.

She and her big sister got to stay with us for a bit on Sat because her Mom and Dad had a special date.

We finally got to watch a show.

Well, some of us watched a show. It was a great afternoon.  And her Mom and dad made it back before the snow hit.

I don't have the time or energy to put things in this blog, so just pretend they are in the correct order.  It's about all the smile anyway, right?

It's been a rough few hours.  Asleep!

We have had to rearrange the toys in the basement because the twins are into everything.  We have a baby side with bigger toys and a big kid side that has all those small toys that they can put in their mouths.  So far, so good. They haven't figured out how to climb over the barricade.

We have been hearing about a huge storm that is coming.  I'm not the least bi]t worried.  All of our superheroes are on the job.

We work a lot on being able to do things on our own.  I'm trying to help their future teachers.  Bailey stirs her yogurt.

Colton opens his sweet teats.

Bailey can (with coaching) get her drink ready.

Avery can open his yogurt with no problem.  He's worried about his big brother. He had to stay home from school today because he didn't feel well.

Colton has learned how to use the microwave.

Lilly is now tall enough to reach the water.

Aiden can open his Booty.

I tried a new playdough recipe.  It is microwaveable.

Avery always says that he needs a little more 'sugar'.

We all practiced our snowball rolling techniques.  We rolled really small ones.

So we could smash them with our pointers and then our thumbs.

Aiden got a little chilly making his.

We read several, by that I mean lots, of snowman books and talked about the snowman-making process.  Their versions are priceless.

I wanted to see how well I had done...teacher evaluation.

Colton knows the drill.   Sort, count, then eat.

crumbly Oobleck

The making of many treasure maps.

Our snowmen need hats.

Ms. Carolyn stopped by and dropped off lots of fun, new-to-us things. Mr. Potato Head and his family.

Happy camper.

Serious Sally

William has a few new tricks.  He likes to remove his socks, grab his toes, and eat them. Ollie loves it because he steals the socks and chews them up. We are up to two pairs that need to be replaced.

New bows for the girls from Ms. Carolyn.

Trying a new activity to strengthen those little fingers.  Peel and match stickers.

Counting penguins on the icebergs.

This was fun!

The process.

I love the marker parkers!
