Closing Time
It is the last day of Wammyville for the year. It is always fun because we do things that we don't normally do during the year, like going outside without shoes or boots on. We warm our feet by the heat of the driveway. Sometimes, I find them just lying on the driveway in deep conversation.
One last beautiful driveway drawing. A giant sunflower that will hopefully inspire my seeds to grow and reach the sky.
Bailey is trying to get comfortable in the hammock, but the boys just keep nagging her. Don't worry; she had the last word. She might be cute and little, but she's fierce.
What will we do when the cicadas are gone? Look, two graduates of Wammyville and one PS want-to-be.
Four more graduates. The two oldest are in Mother's Helper training. They got to hold, feed, and change the twins today. They were a little nervous at first, but did a great job. Super helpers for me.
Avery was showing John Bridger how to make letters out of sticks.
Hammocks filled with yahoos. Best day ever!
The three amigos are together again. All Wammyville graduates...they still love to come back. It makes my day. Thanks, Christa, for coming all the way from KY to spend the day with us.
Hammock is so full of fun. Lots of brotherly love here.
Jase, the hammock master.
Murph! What can you say about a man who always goes over the top! He got pizza, lava cakes, and garlic knots for this crew! 15, counting the twins that were napping. Connor even got to come! Thanks, Murph, we all loved it, and we love you!
We can't EVER go bootless in the backyard. You just never know what you might step in. A little boy and his little dog.
The berry picking crew today.
Avery is having a little alone time with trucks, chalk, and rocks. He had a plan.
The cicada catching lions in their lair!
I saw this on Facebook and thought it was so appropriate for today. Well, maybe every day around here.
We had a great year! Now on to the Wammyville Camping Trip, and then we all will jump into summer mode.
