All By Myself

Today is the first day that all the 'biggins' are in school.  Bailey and Bridger stayed home with their dad on his day off so it was just Avery and me!  Boy is it different!

But don't worry there were lots of new things for us to do to keep us busy.  I repainted the outside chalkboard last week.  Today we got out the spray bottle.  It was a hit!

Working all those little hand muscles.

We worked up an appetite by working in the flower bed and the vegetable beds. Avery loves a good tomato.  And now he likes red Bishop's cap peppers.

But the dig pit is the place he played most.

I sure hope it is bath night.  I might have beat his clothes against the wall to get some of the dirt out.  When he walked he looked like Pig Pen on Charlie Brown.  A cloud of dust followed him.

We walked across the street to the bus stop and waited for Gabe.

It was a really different day with only one...so quiet, no tattle tongues,
only one conversation to listen to at a time, no 'discussions' about how to problem-solve an issue, and there was room in the dig pit for me.
