Creatures Of All Sizes

 We always look for a good bug or worm or even a snake or two.

We called these Jar Flies when I was little.  But Google says Jar Flies are also known as cicadas.  Hmm, who knew.

We called him a pincher.  Jase says he is a pincher beetle. We googled it but couldn't find a match.  Does anyone know the name of this beetle?

We have gained a new friend/foe.  He's a beautiful Cooper's hawk who sits and checks out the birds in our yard and next door.
