Thanksgiving With The Happy Church
I was so excited that the day was finally here. Anna and I have been texting back and forth. I couldn't wait to give her and Cassie a big hug. Not to mention all of our Happy Church family.
The group met at Eastside before daylight. It takes a little over three hours to get to Jackson, KY. We had the trailer loaded with two driesr. a full size refrigerator and 10 boxes of nice winter clothes.
Mark gives a little sneak peek at what goes on.
The vehicles are ready to be packed. We worked along side a church about 6 hours away in Indiana. They have been helping with the boxes for about 10 years.
Packing the food boxes.
That's my girl, Anna.
Steve and Shannon
Connie Tabor helping with Fred's box.
Taking the non-perishables out so a ham or turkey can be added.
Anna and her brother, Trevor.
Going up Shucky Bean Hollow to deliver a few boxes.
Shannon brought cute tablecloths, plates, and napkins for the food boxes and I made the mistake of thinking they were for our lunch. Sorry Shannon, next time I will be sure to ask first.
Steve enjoying his pizza. Ladies from Eastside made cookies, brownies, and chips and provided water and Chrystal Light packets. The church from Indiana brought two salads to share.
We had more than enough to go around several times.
Getting ready to head back to Milford. I love going to The Happy Church on so many levels.
Saying see ya later to these two is always hard for me. But we had a great day and Cassie was even smiling when we left them at the gas station.
Pray for the people of The Happy Church. There is still so much to be done. Pray for Dennis because he is still in the hospital. Tough medical decisions need to be made.
