 Each week on Tuesday everyone is excited t see who goes home with what.  Now they are getting so good at 'reading' the charts that they figure it out all on their own which is wonderful and amazing.

They love Mr. Nibbles.  Connor's sister, Carly Rae, game me this little mouse a long time ago and I have saved it for just the right thing.   He takes a book (for now it is Sandra Boynton's 15 Animals). for bedtime reading and his favorite blanket.  He writes in the Journal of all his adventures while he is away from school.

The Art Suitcase is one of my favorites.  And yes to some people's dismay there are scissors and glitter!  This week I am sending Harold and The Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson.

The Book Pillow comes with a great book.  There is also a recipe book for gathering all those special recipes that were inspired by the story in the book, Bug Soup by Vince Cleghome.

The Math Suitcase is will with lots of hands-on activities.  There is even a container to bring 10 small items to share.  This week I plan to add How Many Feet In The Bed? by Diane Johnston Hamm

And then there is the class favorite, 'Cookie', from If You Take A Mouse To School written by Laura Numeroff.  If you are going for a sleepover you need your blanket, pillow, toothbrush, and pj's...and he has them all.  There is even a tiny hole in the back of his pj's for his tail.  And of course a journal so we can learn about all the interesting things he learned and saw while he was a guest.
