Happy New Year
We have made it a tradition to go to Jungle Jim's for all of our New Year's Party eats a few years ago. Ellis and Alaire love going. This year we added a little twist. I didn't get any pics but dinner at a new Mexican place, Fuego's. It is really good. Service is great and the people are super friendly. Love supporting small businesses.
Back to 'Jingle Jim's' as Pappy calls it. Cassie found a drink that she and Emmy had when they went to Brazil to spend time with Andrea and her family.
Pappy found some jelly that reminded him of a great, memorable time with the Bresson's in WI.
Ellis found two IN favorite root beers. And that started the new tradition...taste testing.
And then they found this!
You just never know about the two! Love all the adventures!
Don't know how but somehow we ended up at The Swampwater Grill but we did! Yea!! Ellis chose the hot sauces for the table.
Cassie started something this year. The Scary Cat. I woke up in the middle of the might and saw a shape I didn't recognize staring down at me from the wall. To play this game the cat secretly moves from house to house. He hides in the most unusual places so he is hard to find. She saw something on Instagram about a glass cat in a glass purse.
The finally back to the Taste Testing Competition. Ellis was first with his root beer.
these made it to the semi-finals.
Hank's was his winner.
Then we were on to Alaire and her lemonade.
Semi-finals
And the big winner!
And to think they wanted, or someone suggested testing hot sauces.
Alaire and Cassie made some pretzel bites that were so yummy.
I got to put the in boiling water with baking soda.
I have made a million of these and given them all away but this one. Thought it was appropriate for the day.
While we waited for the ball to drop we played a few games.
A great time was had by all. Well, maybe not all. Trevor ended up with shingles! So they are on their way back to IN. Mark is in his new chair waiting for football. Michael is getting ready to go to Wyatt's. Ella is snuggled up on her blanket. The animals outside are all accounted for and warm and I am taking all the Christmas things down to bring out all the snowmen. You know that snow is my favorite. So I dedicate January to everything snowy. I might get some time to paint some more snowman rocks later.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
