Special Weather Statement issued December 23 at 9:35PM EST by NWS Wilmington  ...SNOW EXPECTED CHRISTMAS EVE... Areas of snow will develop later Sunday afternoon and then continue into Sunday night. The snow may mix with rain at times Sunday afternoon, especially along and south of the Ohio River, before changing over to all snow Sunday evening. Snowfall accumulations through Sunday night of 1 to 2 inches will be possible north of the Ohio River with generally an inch or less south of the Ohio River. Motorists are advised to use extra caution if traveling this holiday weekend with the potential for accumulating snow. Slick spots will be possible on area roadways along with reduced visibilities.
