Excitement At Cassie's
We stopped off at Cassie's for the night on the way to a wedding in WI. We always are doing little projects around the yard and some in the house but mostly outside. We tackled her flower beds first. And I forgot to get a before and after shot. Then we sanded, primed, and painted her metal firepit chairs. It was all hands on deck.
This was a two-day job for sure. A good sanding, Equally good brushing. Then Alaire stepped in and put on the primer.
While all of this was going on, Cassie was fixing Trevor's birthday dinner...blue cheese burgers, onion straws, and more. All Trevor's favorites. And he wanted a carrot cake with no raisins. The big 4-0! Trevor's dad thought the candle placement was interesting.
And she was doing her best to sing so 'sweetly'...NOT! I think she was trying to out do Peep.
And Ellis added his version.
And then we got out the green paint. Two coats per chair. Thank heavens there were only three chairs.
Firepit and a nice calm campfire.
Sunday morning we were up bright and early because Ellis and Alaire were getting baptized.
A special day because both sets of grandparents were able to come and a sweet family from Cassie's homeschool group came to church.
And then there was this...Ellis and 10 other boys got to go to Church Camp in Holland, Michigan. Wouldn't I love to be a fly on the way there this week. I know from Instagram that they are having a ball!
