We Have Hit A Wall
Things have been going really well for my dad...until this morning. He got up just worn out. Everything seemed like such an effort. But he is a trooper. Going to fight this battle with everything he's got.
Today we had to sue a wheelchair everywhere we went. Whenever he sat down, he fell asleep.
He doesn't remember have his blood draw because he slept through it.
He fell asleep in the chair while waiting to see the doctor. At one point he jerked himself awake almost falling out of the chair.
Loading up with water before radiation.
A little cat nap before chemo starts under a nice warm blanket.
He thinks the chicken sandwiches are the best thing since sliced bread. Today he ate one and a half, a bag of chips, and a package of cookies.
Sleeping through the treatment.
What a difference a few days can make. I really know he doesn't feel good because he isn't trying to be funny. Today was sad. When he got up this morning he told me that today just wasn't going to be his day. Well, we made it through every appointment, ate in the dining room with the ladies, took a few naps, and watched Wheel Of Fortune, Jeopardy, and The Wall. Well, some of us watched.
It would be great to see some cards of encouragement in the mailbox this next week. Today started week three of his treatments. We look at it as half way finished. We are keeping a positive attitude and praying that today was just an off day.
Tomorrow is a new day!
