Scout Service Project
Milford Miami Ministries asked the scouts to help pass out grocery bags with fliers to several neighborhoods in our area. So Thursday night we showed up to get our assignment and pass out the bags. We had 109 bags to hand out.
Ideally we were to knock on every door and tell the people what we were doing. Lots of door knocking and not a lot of talking
Then this morning at 10AM we headed back to pick up the filled bags. On the way there the boys were talking about what percentage we would be picking up. Once we got in the neighborhood we let them sit in the back...easier to jump and run. Mark and I wee the lookouts...'Michael, you're up. Wyatt, got one.'
They were having a ball.
Someone even attached a patch from summer camp. I thought that was so cool.
I remember talking to this man and lady. They were working in their yard. And they had the cutest little puppy. Wyatt wanted to pet it so bad, but the dog was having nothing to do with him...stranger, danger.
Don't actually what percentage we picked up but I do know it was a van full!
