Helping With An Eagle Scout Project
Day One
Day One was tree/stump removal day.
Good thing we had use of the pick up. Mark made two trips to Bzak to dump the fruits of our labor.
Mr. Barringer hard at work.
Mrs. Barringer trimming the branches so Mark could see to drive.
The young Mr. Barringer lending a hand.
Pulling out the big guns!
The Arnett's arrive and Mr. Smith taking it all in.
Matt and Logan working on the biggest stump.
Mr. Lewis, et al, surveying the hole.
We dug. We shoved. We used every piece of digging equipment we could and still no movement in Big Bertha. That is until Mr. Smith strapped it and pulled.
Logan making sure everything was secure.
And she's finally out!
Shadow Patrol represented by he Assistant Patrol Leader (Logan) and Patrol Leader (Michael). Good days work boys!
Day Two
The trees were delivered last night and the tree fairy showed up to help plant. When we got there this morning all but three trees had been planted.
Eight beautiful trees fill the empty spots where trees once stood.
And the help arrives!
I am sure he is doing some kind of math in his head to see if the hole is deep enough and then wide enough.
A whole lot of pushing and shoving going on...in a good way.
At one point the tree took Charlie downtown!
And he gets back up to fight again another day.
Thomas trying really hard to get things straight and in the right position.
It's a really hard job and someone has to do it!
Making it look pretty.
How many scouts does it take to water the trees?
Looks like just about all of them.
10 gallons of water weighs a ton!
So I let the young whipper snappers take over.
So when you are traveling down Rt 50 headed to Rt 222 drive slowly and check out the good work that was done.
