A Quick Visit

The Oakes came into to town for a quick visit...actually a shopping trip to the big REI Sale. So as usual we packed in their time.

I built a fire and Trevor rearranged it to make it better...

so we cold make pies.

Ellis made an apple pie.

Waiting was the hardest part.

Lots more waiting...

Alaire thought she would try a pumpkin pie.  This is the look you get from me when you put the buttered side of the bread down instead of up.

After all that waiting he gets a semi burnt pie.  But he loved it.  Ate some of it for breakfast the nest day! 

 

We are planning a big camp out sometime in the near future and I can bet we will be making more apple pies!
